Table

Table begins with a host leading a guest to a table the guest does not want. As the scene develops, the host becomes a “temporary” server as they answer all the guest’s concerns, with the dynamic between them becoming increasingly ludicrous. In the second scene, the same host attends- again, as a “temporary” server- to a woman and her uncle. The elderly man is hard of hearing (perhaps intentional), the woman full of specifics and the host progressively apathetic.

Table premiered at the Chain Theatre’s 2025 Winter One-Act Festival in New York with a run of three sold out shows.

Pastiche

A three-scene, one act play exploring a medley of objects, each representing various motifs. “Door,” “Train,” and “Coaster” examine human interrelationships by incorporating familiar objects then questioning what they mean to us.

Pastiche was selected for the Chain Theatre’s Summer One-Act Festival and premiered in August 2024 in New York City.

House of the Setting Sun

A one-act play that explores the themes of connection, isolation, and the search for meaning. The stage is divided into two distinct settings: a small general store in the American West and a bustling street corner in a large city. The narrative centers on a man and a woman who correspond through letters, sharing their innermost thoughts and struggles. The play delves into their emotional landscapes as they navigate their respective environments and their relationship with each other.

House of the Setting Sun is currently in pre-production and set to premiere in 2025.

Every Night I Feel I Might Die

A personal essay in which the narrator questions the extraordinary weight of nostalgia and self-awareness that occurs in the quiet of her bedroom at night. Themes of grief, aloneness and identity juxtapose the fragility of emotional memory: what does it mean to remember- and what does it mean to forget?

Every Night I Feel I Might Die was published in the Spring 2023 issue of Divagations Magazine.
